Lucy A. Rudnicka – Small Business Accounting Services
It is my commitment to serve my clients with complete confidentiality, the utmost integrity, and professional excellence.

Most of financial reporting is really data – not true information. It does not help managers to make better business decisions. I am committed to transforming data into informative and useful tools.
Most small business owners I meet have similar complaints:
-
I don't have financial statements I can trust.
My chart of accounts has too many accounts!
There are strange balances on my ledger.
I don't know how to forecast my cash flow.
The reason for these complaints is that many businesses have not realized the need for solid bookkeeping and accounting, and believe that their software (QuickBooks) can do it all. Unfortunately, it cannot.
And yet every business needs the same things:
- Timely and accurate financial statements, preferably monthly!
- A clean chart of accounts with all balances reconciled on a regular basis
- Accurate information regarding inventory, margins, accounts receivable balances, and bottom line
How is that accomplished? By solid bookkeeping topped off with regular general ledger reviews
and professional financial statement preparation.
That's where FINANCIALS for You comes in – expertise and experience you can trust.
After graduating with a degree in Accounting and passing the CPA exam, I spent 25 years in corporate America – first
on a full–time basis and then as a consultant.
I've worked for some of the largest multinational companies at the corporate,
division and subsidiary levels which enabled me to learn the needs of
businesses in the various stages of their growth cycle.
Among others I held the positions of: International Controller General Manager Corporate Planning, Director of International Accounting
with such companies as Baxter, Sony Europe, Helene Curtis and Corporate Express.
In my 15 years as a consultant I have focused on small businesses and start–up companies in the following industries:
healthcare providers,
high–tech,
personal care products,
home services,
insurance,
semiconductor mfg,
banking,
utilities and others.
Now I serve primarily small and medium size businesses. As a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and a Certified Public Accountant, I value the tools we have in the QuickBooks software,
but I also find that managers and users of financial information are all very different
and that's why I focus on customization in my practice. I truly believe that every client needs a personalized approach,
including customized management reporting, if needed, to make best business decisions.
Some of us do better with a very detailed approach, others are “big picture” managers, still others respond best
to a graph. In the end, it doesn't really matter how good the financial information is, but how well it can be
understood and used.
My approach is to listen to my clients and accommodate their diverse
management and information processing styles with an open–minded approach.
Foreign languages spoken: fluent German, Polish, and some French.
